Kyoto, Japan

Zach, our nephew, met Ruth Ann for lunch in Kyoto today where they shared not only food, but love and conversation, as well.  He is away from Stanford studying in Kyoto this semester.  Zach is an excellent pie baker, having learned the art from his grandmother, Donna Jean- Ruth Ann's sister.  He has not yet acquired his grandmother's lasagna skills as far as I know.  Most of all, he is a loving, kind and humble young man.  Zach’s character is a direct reflection of his mother, Melissa, our niece.
They enjoyed wagyu beef they cooked on a hot stone with rice, pickled cabbage and accompanying sauces.  It was the best beef Ruth Ann has eaten.

The best Mochi  ever for dessert.

What about me?  You may ask?
I was a sick puppy feeling sad and lonely.

Isn't she lovely?  Ruth Ann attended a kimono demonstration prior to meeting Zach.

Local student band got a gig playing for more than 500 passengers as we departed the pier.

                                                                            Sayanara!

The Bellamy Brothers released (or dropped as they say currently) Let Your Love Flow in 1976 and includes;

So, let that wonder take you into space
And lay you under its loving embrace
Just feel the thunder as it warms your face, you can't hold back

[Chorus]
Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show and you'll know what I mean
It's the season
Let your love fly like a bird on a wing
And let your love bind you to all living things
And let your love shine and you'll know what I mean
That's the reason
