Overland New Zealand

 Zealong Organic Tea Plantation was our fist stop on our four day overland trip in New Zealand.  Tea bushes are shown above.  In addition to a tasty lunch, we sampled many varieties of tea as well as learned about tea processing and how to properly brew tea.  You can see our happiness as a result of a finely brewed cup of tea.

The owner, Vincent Chen, discusses with Ruth Ann, the diversity of the population in New Zealand.  He told her his workforce is strengthened by the 26 different nationalities represented.

It is difficult to explain the terrain of this area of NZ.  Since there are innuberable pastures of sheep and dairy cattle, it is easy to see but I was unable to capture the concave and convex shapes of the heaps of hills which was caused by the volcanoes on this island.  They can look like giant molehills.
